ExoShield combines "Exo", referencing exoskeletal structures and bone-like lattices, with "Shield", emphasizing its protective function during sports activities. It conveys both biomechanical inspiration and high-performance protection

This pair of shin guards has been specifically designed for optimal impact #absorption and seamless production as a single-piece component using #additive manufacturing.

The structure is based on a Voronoi #lattice pattern made in #grasshopper, which allows precise #control over both #thickness and cell #density by adjusting parameters. To ensure a strong and cohesive design, we used boolean operations (Dendro Plugin) to merge the two main volumes: the protective outer shell and the internal lattice structure.

This design approach ensures a perfect balance between flexibility, lightweight construction, and mechanical resistance, making it an ideal solution for high-performance protection in #sports and other demanding applications.

The shin guards will be manufactured using advanced 3D printing technologies such as Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and Multi Jet Fusion (MJF), utilizing Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU).This material offers high elasticity, impact resistance, and long-term durability, making it ideal for sports applications where both comfort and protection are essential.
